Until now, there have been no suitable models for the study of the human lung. Bern start-up AlveoliX has made it its mission to change this: as the first company worldwide to reproduce the lung on a chip and in so doing simulate how the organ works. The “organ-on-chip” is to become the standard in the development of medications.
